Sports Day 2021
Sports Days are fast approaching and we wanted to share some key details with you.
Each year group will have a half day session where they will compete in a variety of field events and running races. Due to the rules surrounding Covid-19, classes will compete against each other while we ensure social distancing in maintained between class bubbles.
Tuesday 6th July: Reception and Year 1
Wednesday 7th July: Year 2 and Year 3
Thursday 8th July: Year 4 and Year 5
Friday 9th July: Year 6
On the day of their sports event, children should come to school in PE Kit and identified colour. Each class has been assigned a colour they can wear based on their houses. If your child does not have a top or clothing in this colour, we will have sports bibs available. They will need a water bottle and clothing to protect from hot weather including hats, sunglasses and sun cream.
With parents unable to attend, we will be taking photos throughout the week. Please be aware that due to parental permissions, all photos need to be checked before we can share them with you. Photos will be shared via facebook and the school website as soon as we are able to do so.In the event of bad weather, we will do our best to rearrange the event but this will be solely dependent on how many year groups are affected.
We are really looking forward to seeing the children taking part and hopefully identifying the next Usain Bolt or Dame Kelly Holmes as the week progresses.
Please note that children in Year 6 may not be wearing their specified House colours. This reflects the mixing of classes at the beginning of the year. Therefore, they will compete as class Vs class.
